Key Responsibilities:
Events & Programs:
- Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of Chamber events, including networking events, educational workshops, trade shows, fundraisers, and annual galas.
- Develop event budgets, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and venues.
- Collaborate with Chamber members, volunteers, and staff to ensure successful event execution.
- Create event marketing plans, including pre-event promotion, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Evaluate event success and provide feedback to improve future events.
Marketing:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the Chamber's brand, programs, and services.
- Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email campaigns, and website content.
- Create compelling content for newsletters, blogs, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Oversee the production and distribution of marketing collateral.
- Analyze marketing metrics and adapt strategies to optimize performance and engagement.
Member Engagement:
- Design and implement strategies to enhance member engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Chamber members, sponsors, and community partners.
- Organize member / volunteer orientation sessions, recognition programs, and other engagement activities.
Public Relations:
- Function as a spokesperson for the Chamber and maintain positive relations with local media.
- Draft press releases, coordinate media coverage, and manage crisis communications.
- Represent the Chamber at community events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in event management, or a similar role.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on planning and executing successful events.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and volunteers.
- Creative thinker with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proven sales ability.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
- Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.
